Waikato

This region will soon be split into two - Waikato & Bay of Plenty.  There are currently 16 members – more than any other region.

They run large city libraries such as those in Hamilton and Tauranga, as well as small rural libraries. One of the libraries in the region is the tiny Kawhia War Memorial Library, which featured in Small Libraries of New Zealand published by Margaret Jenner in 2005.

Regional update

Kawerau Library "Book Magic"

The APLM Bay of Plenty region recently split from the Waikato region and now consists of eight members.  Previously, the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region consisted of 16 members covering the breadth of the North Island.  This geographical split now facilitates better communication between members.

Their first regional update showcases new commissioned works, book month and other great community events.
